Cole Cottage - Kalbarri, WA

Cole Cottage was clean, tidy and well equipped for our group of 6 people. Its an older style home, but is very comfortable. Having meals on the front verandah in full view of people walking down the footpath was a bit weird at first, but we soon slowed down to "Kalbarri Time" and it wasn't a problem. Was good to be able to wake up, go out the front door and look down to the ocean to see what the water was like - early morning fishing, or afternoon fishing. The only negative was that there were only 5 coffee cups, so one person always missed out on their morning coffee, or had to wait for someone to finish, then wash the mug. Overall it was a very enjoyable stay.

This must be our eighth family holiday to Cole Cottage and once again, it didn’t disappoint. This place has everything you need and nothing that you don’t. You can park up your car and walk to the river, the IGA, the cafe , the bakery or even Finlay’s (if you had one too many ales). All this and such a great view from the deck with a beer or cuppa in hand. Spent a lot of time there. The house is great too - you wouldn’t call it luxurious but it has everything we look for in a relaxing break in Kalbarri. The only feedback I would give this time would be that a larger doona for the queen bed would be helpful as would a new dinner set.

This was our first time in Kalbarri and staying at Cole Cottage was fantastic. The cottage was very clean, had everything we needed, was very private and in an excellent location. We could see the river from the front deck. At night we saw some kangaroos and the next day an emu! Check in was so easy and the directions to the cottage very simple. The staff at the office were very friendly. We would highly recommend staying at the cottage and would love to return soon. A wonderful stay :)

Front deck where this transitions from more recent to original porch and extension with reeded pine boards needs attention - the condition of the timber is deteriorating and represents a potential fall risk, if one or more boards failed - if this occurred a fall could result in an injury

Wasn’t ideal for my family as I have a disable son but we had the privilege to seek help from the Community centre for equipment
Close and easy access to the beach walking distance, walking distance to IGA and other facilities
Ray white was very helpful
In the end lovely to stay and would stay again if their is easy access for my son

This would be the eighth time, the Manning’s have stayed at Cole Cottage and we love it to bits, we have so many fond memories there. Great location with no through traffic and a priceless view to the river mouth. What more could you ask for? An easy to manage household that can accommodate an extended family holiday means a relaxing break for everyone. Walking distance to IGA, cafes, beach and the BAKERY. Every time we come, the owners have upgraded something so it’s a game to guess what it might be. As a family we were concerned that Cole cottage may not have survived Seroja and we were so pleased to see that it did... with damaged fencing? We love this place and have booked again for next year. Only improvements we can suggest would be a couple of cutting boards, sharper knives and a new plug for the kitchen sink

We were 5 adults on a boys trip to Kalbarri. The accommodation is basic, but better than the photos give it credit for. Sitting on the deck after a day on the Murchison was fantastic. Would definitely recommend.

Great homely feel about Cole Cottage, plenty of room, well equipped for self catering holiday providing comfortable bedrooms and entertaining areas.
The only downside was no Wifi coverage, easily overcome with Hotspot.
The only other complaint was the BBQ although the plates were clean, no one had cleaned the overflow fat and we had a fat fire when we lit it. Let it burn out, cleaned it out properly the next day and we were back in business.
Highly recommended for family up to six people, a lot cheaper than hotel accommodation.

We thought we had to take lots of things but the cottage was much better equipped as we expected and the location was great You can hear the ocean from the veranda

Cole Cottage in Kalbarri is a very comfortable 3 bedroom beach cottage with a lovely view down to the river from the front deck. We have stayed there numerous times and always come back. It is in a great central location.

Small but for two to four people very good. Very clean with all mod cons. Short walk to river and IGA.only criticism would be the price which was a bit high by about $20 per night

Cole Cottage is exactly as described, with renovated kitchen, bathroom and laundry added bonuses. It is extremely well-appointed, conveniently located and with an inviting verandah that is delightful, when the famous Kalbarri wind isn't blowing. We loved our stay here and found it perfect for 2 couples.

We stayed at Coles Cottage for 4 nights at the end of August, 2021. Our group included my husband and myself, my sone and his wife and their two little ones (aged 5 and just 4 months). The place was very clean and we were delighted by all the extra kitchen equipment, that we didn't expect. It was a short walk to the beach and shopping and had a fenced off back yard (with a big clothes line). All in all we were very happy with the place and would definitely stay there again.

Excellent location in a nice quiet spot. Really comfy and clean cottage suited a great family holiday.

Great little spot could see the ocean from the deck, which would have been nice if the roof was tin rather than shade cloth but that’s the only issue and that was only because we had rain. Very nice property would def recommend and would stay again
