Surfside Retreat is more than perfect for the family holiday getaway. Fully self contained with 3 bedrooms all with built in robes and all new flooring in all bedrooms. Main bedroom with a queen bed & private ensuite . The two second bedrooms both have 2 single beds in each. The Main Bathroom has a seperate shower and bath & = seperate toilet.. TV & stereo in lounge area. Reverse cycle air conditioner to the open plan living, dining & kitchen areas. Ceiling fans in all bedrooms. Electric hot plates, under bench oven, fridge/freezer and microwave in a well stocked kitchen plus a large chest freezer to store all the fish you catch. Washing machine is in the seperate laundry.
BBQ and outdoor setting set in the front private paved courtyard. Back clothes line area is paved and the unit is fully fenced. Undercover parking for 2 cars and room for a boat. Short walk to Blue Holes and close to all beaches. The location is perfect.

Kalbarri is blessed with a unique environment and it wont take too long to see this for yourself with clean, safe river beaches, ocean side beaches boasting amazing rock pools and world renowned Jacques Point which has left point surf break for the avid surfers. Towering coastal sandstone cliffs bordering coastal reef fringes make great viewing platforms for the frequently visiting whales and dolphins.
Our magical National Park Gorges now with 2 sky walks and with the Murchison River being a backdrop will keep every member of the family occupied. Kalbarri now has a new cycle/walk path that runs the length of the town foreshore and passes the newly completed, awesome environmentally friendly huge pirate playground.
Kalbarri offers you activities such as canoeing, fishing, charters, crabbing, sailing, wind surfing, 4 wheel driving, quad bike riding, snorkeling, swimming, hiking, bird-watching, photography, golf, bowls, scenic flights, shopping, wildflowers just to name a few. So take an organised tour or use your own transport, go by boat, take a scenic flight, trek the cliff tops, abseil down them, cycle to the lookouts or just relax the choice is yours.

Surfside Retreat was perfect for the needs of the four adults in our group. Thanks to the air conditioning and ceiling fans and the proximity to the beach, we were able to see and do everything we had planned to do in Kalbarri despite the heat. Our stay in Kalbarri was the highlight of our nine day road trip.

Spacious, well appointed 3 x 2, located just out of town.
Open plan kitchen/dining that allowed plenty of family space during the hot January afternoons.
Enjoyed using this as a home base for two weeks while exploring Kalbarri!

Surfside Retreat is spacious with a good floor-plan.
Beds were comfortable and the position is convenient.
The property is on a t-junction and so there was traffic noise in the main bedroom. Not so much in the 2 minor bedrooms.
The property was overall very clean.
There were some maintenance issues that were reported to Contessi which they were going to fix after our stay. Most did not impact on our enjoyment of the property except for the BBQ - which did not work apart from the sideburner. We were told that the owner was replacing the BBQ - so that will be great for the future!
Overall the property was excellent!

A week's vacation from the city grind. The house was nicely furnished, finished, quiet area, near the beach, but a good distance from the shops, and not too far either. The house is relatively spacious without being too big, pet friendly. I would stay out this house again in the future.

We were very happy with the house, it was clean and spacious also in a good location.
We booked for 7 nights and offered to stay free for an extra night which was great. we end up hiring a pontoon on the extra day that we stay and had a fantastic experience on the river. so thank you.

The place was in a perfect little spot, walking distance to the beautiful blue holes and walking trails.
The house itself was clean and well maintained and was perfect for our group of 6 adults.
We will definitely be back in beautiful Kalbarri and possibly in the same house again.

Very comfortable, good value and spacious accommodation. Kalbarri Escapes were very communicative about everything, including the power outage that affected the town during our stay.
Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and in future we will likely book this location.
